Box Architects was founded in 1995 by Colin Conn and Bronagh Crawley. Fresh from 3 years in Italy and Germany they embarked on a voyage of design discovery, riding the back of the Celtic Tiger in Ireland.
Beginning with small hospitality projects they quickly grew a design focussed team tackling multi-residential, hotel, retail, workplace and civic projects. Awards came frequently including 2 RIBA and 2 AIA awards.
When the Celtic Tiger became more of Crippled Kitten the team decided to take the show on the road and arrived in Australia in 2011.

Since then they have taken BOX to greater heights, building local teams and are currently engaged in major hotel, multi-residential, retail and workplace projects in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The team’s success lies in its ability to nimbly adapt to local environments and economies.
Irrespective of location, listening intently to a client’s requirements, budgets and timeframes and then translating that effectively into a project that actually works is a skill the BOX team has developed over many years.
Colin has over 25 years’ experience in architecture, interior design and project management. He has been the managing director of Box Architects since 1995 specialising in Workplace, Hospitality, Retail and Residential projects. He has experience in several sectors in Australia and Europe. Box Architects have won several awards including RIBA and AIA awards.
Bronagh has over 25 years’ experience in Interior Design, Retail Design Management and Tenancy Coordination. Having worked in the Hospitality, Retail and Workplace sectors. Bronagh is a respected and experienced designer focussing on the successful delivery of fast moving interior projects. Her portfolio of completed projects demonstrates her ability to get on-time and on-budget schemes completed to the satisfaction of her many and varied client base.
