The Four Corners Development was won in an architectural competition in 2003 and was completed in 2008. It comprises a 172 bedroom hotel, restaurant and bar. A faithful restoration of the retained Victorian facade is complimented by a sheer white modern extension with articulated fenestration. The basement car parking was challenging while retaining the facade. A new cobbled street was created through the middle of the site anchoring the development to the existing historical street pattern.
Run by a successful European hotel chain this hotel has pumped life back into this historical quarter.
