RETAIL PROJECT
The traditional food court has been reinvented outside with a series of spaces and levels wrapped in an exoskeleton of steel and vegetation.
The modular construction allows tenancies to be clipped in and out as the market and season demand creating an ever changing and evolving series of volumes. The planting and water-misting keep the environment cool in summer by moistening the prevailing breeze. In-built localised radiant heaters keep the dining areas warm on those occasionally cool Perth winter days.
Fresh produce is grown on-site for consumption in the local restaurants. The space is made up of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops leading to a new cinema complex.
The addition will become the new main entrance to the centre defined by a large black steel portal cutting through the steel and green external wrap.
